Introduction & Profile Raising

This function consists of raising the profile of existing or potential De Beers Sightholders in the long term.

Bonas achieves this by first identifying the core strengths of each client and translating these competitive advantages into the key messages that need to be communicated to De Beers' management.

We provide support and assistance during the submission process by writing all company profiles and contract proposals, as well as helping to organise factory visits and business presentations. As obligations change, we guide clients through the often challenging and complex implications.

Facilitation & Intermediation

We manage the complex administrative requirements of the supplier/customer relationship, helping parties to communicate specific requirements and constraints. If circumstances require, we act as mediators, striving to achieve compromise when interests conflict.

Bonas acts as liaison between De Beers and its Sightholders, whether existing or prospective.

Business Compliance

The diamond industry takes its social and environmental responsibilities extremely seriously and the Best Practice Principles (BPP) is but one example of De Beers’ concrete and concerted move towards adherence to the highest ethical and professional behaviour.

If and when required, Bonas can audit scrupulously an entire value chain, helping to ensure complete compliance with the stringent corporate and social responsibility standards required to become and remain a De Beers Sightholder.

Bonas can assist with identifying alternative channels for sourcing rough diamonds, allowing our clients to leverage a variety of business opportunities, from short-term profit to adapting their level of rough supply to match their production capabilities. Bonas is active in every major trading centre and we enjoy substantial placing power on the secondary market.
